DATA PROTECTION NOTICE
New data protection legislation came into force across the EU on 25 May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) strengthens and unifies data protection for individuals within the EU. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. Historically, Swiss data protection legislation has been closely tied to EU regulations. Therefore, the Website and online shop fall under the GDPR.
ABOUT PERSONAL DATA
Personal data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. Your first and last names, your landline phone number, and/or your physical, e-mail or IP addresses constitute personal data.
HOW WE COLLECT, PROCESS AND USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We are very protective of your personal data, and only collect, store and process this data for our own use, for example to deal with your order via our online shop.
In compliance with the new regulation, we will only– and securely – export your personal details to third parties for the purpose of services delivered on our behalf (see below, Google Analytics https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en and Facebook https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/update?ref=old_policy).
MARKETING AND YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We use your data and your provided information to process your requests and recommend services and products you may be interested in.
NEWSLETTER
We use your provided e-mail address to periodically send you newsletters. We need your permission as the owner of said e-mail address, that you are agreeing to receive our newsletters. If you wish to no longer receive them, you can rescind your permission at any time. Send us a short notice to welcome@hotel-lenzerhorn.ch or use the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our newsletters. HOTEL LENZRHORN SPA & WELLNESS AG uses the software Eyepin (www.eyepin.com) for the distribution of the newsletters. Your name and e-mail address are stored in the database of Eyepin in Austria and Germany, but will not be used by Eyepin for any further purposes in any kind of way.
COOKIES
About cookies
Cookies are files that are sent by web servers to web browsers, and which may then be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Cookies can be used by web servers to identify and track you as you navigate different pages on a website, and to identify you when you return to a website.
Cookies may be either “persistent” or “session” cookies. A session cookie will expire at the end of your session, when you close the web browser. By contrast, persistent cookies consist of text files sent by a web server to a web browser. Unless you delete them before their expiry date, persistent cookies will be stored by the browser and remain valid until their set expiry date.
Cookies on our Website
This website uses cookies to improve our services. Some cookies are strictly necessary for site operation, while others make our website easier for you to use, for example by storing some of your personal data so you do not have to insert them during each new session.
You may block cookies in your browser settings. However, please note that blocking our cookies will make our website less easy to use.
The cookies we use
Most of the cookies on our website are session cookies. They are automatically deleted from your hard drive when you close your browser. For example, session cookies avoid having to show you this notice each time you visit a new page on our website.
We also use persistent cookies that remain on your hard drive, and automatically recall your previous choices when you return to our website. Our persistent cookies have a set expiry date of between 1 month and 10 years. Unless you delete them sooner, they will remain on your hard drive until their pre-set expiry date.
Data stored in the cookies we use
The cookies used by our website only store pseudonymous data. When a cookie is activated, it is given a unique identification code and your personal data is not attributed. The cookies used by this website do not store your name, Internet Protocol (IP) address or any similar information that personally identifies you.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
We use Google Analytics, a service offered by Google Inc. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en Google Analytics mainly uses first-party cookies to report on user interactions on our website in order to help us understand how it is used. The information generated when you visit this website, including your IP address, is reported to and stored on a Google server located in the US, which has less stringent privacy laws than the EU.
Google Inc. uses the information to analyse and report on activities on our site, and to provide other services related to the use of our site, and of the Internet. Google Inc. may also forward the information when required to do so by law, or to third parties commissioned by Google to process the data.
Please note that this website uses cookies and Analytics. By continuing to browse the site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies. Please click on “accept cookies” in the footer.
For more detailed information, please visit Google: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en
We use Facebook’s social plugins operated by Facebook Inc. When you see the Facebook logo or “Like” button, it means that these plugins are in use.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Facebook cookie transfers data even before you click on the Facebook “Like” button. As the operators of our website, we have no control over the precise nature and quality of data collected by Facebook Inc. and we are unable to change the data. Any user data processed at the Facebook headquarters in Ireland falls under GDPR. Under its new privacy agreement Facebook users in Africa, Asia, Australia and Latin America are governed by more lenient US privacy laws.
For more detailed information on how Facebook collects and processes your personal data, please see Facebook Privacy Update: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/update?ref=old_policy (accessed on 25 May 2018)
